What's the oldest your female has been when whelping?

My 13 yr. old female was accidentally bred today. I'm hoping it doesn't take. I'm wondering if anyone has had pups out of a female this old or older & how they turned out.

arsenci in wood

I'm not sure, but I don't thnk they sell the CCA (arsenic) treated wood anymore, they started treating it differently; but if you have it, it leaches arsenic when it rains. I have it & I worry sometimes when it rains if its leaching into the dogs water bowls. Its an issue because its been used a lot...

fence charger

I use the fence charger method on any pups that I raise. Its probably best to get the back deer leg glands from a fresh deer, but I usually buy them from Bill Boatman. I don't think it automatically makes a dog deer proof, but I think it makes them a lot easier to keep off of deer later. The time to...

ivomec

1/10th of a cc per 10 lbs body weight but never more than 2/10ths of a cc no matter what beagles weight is. I inject it now so it doesn't irrtate dogs throat or nose. (Its the 1% Ivomec solution for cattle & swine). Drop me a line.

Pro Plan

I'm feeding Puria Pro Plan and like it a lot. I had switched from Purina One to Diamond Professional 30/20, for the winter, but my waste output with Diamond was way too much. I switched to Purina Pro Plan and I almost cut my waste in half. I don't think I'm exagerating when I say this. I have been w...

Well, I'll tell you what I'm seeing. I don't have a lot of experience with Diamond. About two months ago I switched to Diamond Professional 30/20 for the winter. The problem I encountered was a lot of waste and very large and loose stools. I never had a problem with waste falling through my above gr...

Best flashlight I ever bought was a Dynalight from Bill Boatman for about $17 or $18. They take 6 D cell batteries, but they last a long time & the light produced is GREAT! I can buy the D cell batteries fairly cheap at COSTCO, too.

barometric pressure / temperature

I wasn't able to get out this weekend but I'm curious how the running was, especially in Michigan. The barometric pressure was over 30.5 all weekend & the temperature was well below 20 degrees with no new snow. According to prior posts on this site these conditions mean doom to rabbit running. Did a...
