Rabbits
My doe gave birth to 5 new kits for my training pen. I will be able to switch rabbits when I need to I usually keep 3 in it. Got a couple fellows coming over to start a couple pups. Normally I do not let other people use my pen due to possible snake bites, rattle snakes have a tendency to hang under...

Re: web site
You shuldnt let one ole mule decide what you put on your web page, I'm sure he knows where the volume on his computer is. By the way I usually turn down music too but I dont not look because of music. Man you tell the truth and people want to cut you down. First I didn't decide what goes on his web...

http://rabbitridgekennels.webs.com/ This link should get people to it.
I do not like music on a web page. Therefore I do not stay around to look at them. So no opinion on the page.

Re: Bloodline question
It sounds like his pedigree is just a Heinz fifty-seven variety. If so there is no bloodline. You can start your own.. Yes I would have to agree with you if a beagles pedigree shows 3 or more bloodlines then he would qualify as a Heinz 57 and probably shouldn't be classified as any bloodline. But I...

Bloodline question
How would you determine the bloodline of your beagle if he is a mixture of several good bloodlines? Would the bloodline be the most dominate line represented on the pedigree, and how far back in the pedigree would you go to make this determination?

Re: 1/2 sister 1/2 brother crosses
The more common ancestors that are in the pedigree the higher the COI will be. I agree, COI shows how inbred a dog is. I was one that believed in breeding dogs that I like regardless of the relationship. I no longer breed but do like to follow subjects on breeding. Always like to watch how others t...

Re: 1/2 sister 1/2 brother crosses
I try to target in the range of 9% - 14% COI.. I think this range allows you to lock in desirable traits without running the risks of health defects. I'm a fan of linebreeding/Inbreeding, If you feel good about the cross then I wouldn't hesitate on breeding half brother/sister. " Half Brother to Ha...
