Re: Brains, isn't it time you got yours
Different strokes for different folks. A Ukc champion or Grand Champ should be able to compete in the akc Midwest and vi versa. The scoring is different in every format and judges who uses their score books should be able to determine the winner in each series or cast. I've seen dogs/handlers in UKC...

Re: toughest to run and why, hare cottontail, swampers?
Never ran hare before but I will say running swampers is by far one of the most enjoyable hunts I've been on. Your right when you say, the bag of tricks they pull, like jumping onto of fallen trees or old stumps. Then you got the water. I believe the dogs are real tuckered out after a long running s...

Re: Victor Dog Food
Jim,
I been feeding Victor for three years now, I feed the blue bag I believe it's 23/11. Great feed and good stools. I double feed when they are running a lot or when it's winter outside.

Southern Indiana a year ago this February had a trial where the ground was frozen with 4 to 5 inches of snow. Windy as heck.

Re: Ok need some young dog opinions
If the old girl is finding rabbits then keep taking her. If your young hound starts picking up the pace on her then leave her home. Her working the track slow might be good for your young pup, shows him the patience he will need one day. Now if this pup isn't contributing with her maybe he needs to ...

Re: RIP FCGD Kimbrel's Kickem Up Kane
Was sadden by the loss when I heard, not only for Neil but for Tosha and the kids too. Tosha ran and trialed that dog just as much as Neil did. He was a special hound no doubt. Could run a rabbit when others couldn't. Gun hunting over Kane was a pleasure.
Rest easy Kane.
