Re: My dog Lady was attack by a Coyote Tonight

Thanks for sharing that Dingo! Folks, I saw first hand this morning that the bells work. We had a couple young dogs out and a big ol yote came out, got within a hundred yds from the dogs and locked up in the middle of the hayfield! We were standing another hundred yds back. He didnt know we were the...

Re: My dog Lady was attack by a Coyote Tonight

Get her on some antibiotics. NASTY BITES! I had a male that was bitten and I tried to get him cleaned up best I could. The wounds healed and then started swelling. I mean baseball sized! Vet drained and flushed them out and put him on antibiotics. A couple mo. later had to do it again. Could never g...

Re: need help w/ivomec

I have an article that was ran in the rabbit hunter years ago and then was re-released again a few years ago. It says a 10th of a CC per ten pounds of body weight. I have always used 2/10th as majority of mine are right at 20lbs.

Re: LP VS PP

These days, I dont feel like theres much difference in speed between formats as far as LP and PP go,as long as they arent gettin too rough. I have about had 2 heat strokes judging and seen plenty of other judges puke at PP hunts, and I'm in pretty good shape. Maybe theres less breakdowns and thats a...

Re: LP VS PP

I have only ever attended P.P trials. But I would say that you're gonna find rabbit hounds in any format(Almost). I see plenty of results on here to prove it during rabbit season,LOL! I know I like my running smooth, I dont care how the hound is bred or trialed. If you want to see the difference, at...

Re: Yote run with the Patch Hounds

If thats the case,I wish someone would take up hunting coyotes here in northern KY!!LOL!
I do have a question also. How do the yotes run. Any pattern or do they just hit the country? As minimal as my rabbit season has been,I may just take up running yotes also!

Re: Short-term rabbit hunting license in Iowa

I also go in the southeast corner normally. Going west isnt going to help much,I imagine. The whole dang state was flooded,it killed me to see that thru the summer.

Re: Short-term rabbit hunting license in Iowa

You have to buy an annual licence. In Jan.08 it was $92.00.Also didnt do well where we went. I usually go every other year,2 trips.I didnt bother on the 2nd trip with all the flooding thru the summer. i'll let that population recover before I go back. Good luck if you do go. I do believe Kansas stil...
