Every year!! I quit going until after season! And any public land that doesn't allow modern firearms,around me, aren't worth going to!
I had too many "close calls" with deer hunters in the last few years!

That was my thoughts too,but i guess it depends on your idea of spring.Southeastern Kansas get pretty good amounts of pressure from out-of-state people already. I would say to go more west in the state.But hey, Kansas DNR has open season year round.
