Nobody is breeding or promoting the same type of hound that Al Winkler owned. Like everyone has said, there is still several dogs around that has the name Kingwood in thier pedigree, but don't fool yourself it's not the same. Just becuase they have Kingwood's T Rex or FC Kingwood's Silver Bullet in ...

those hounds are all gone now. kingwood was not a blood line, but a simply a kennel name for Al Winkler. The majority of his hounds but not all went back to Jiggs or Blizzard in some fashion. There is one male left up in michigan that is as close as you can get, but he may be dead now.
