Re: What is Rough?

A rough dog to me in a nutshell is a hound that can’t keep a line going for any of the above reasons, steadily losing the line and poor check work with not much forward progress. As for correction, some dogs are just naturally rough, how old is the dog? Soloing may help if he’s been packed up a lot ...

Re: Log Splitters n Firewood

If you have a fire place and not a wood stove, i would not waste your time and money. A standard fire place burns the woods and sends the heat out the chimney. when drafting, the fire place pulls heat from the back side of the house and will leave bed rooms cold. A fire place is nothing more than a ...

Re: Dog Bowl/Bucket heater

I use the blue bowls from TSC and they work great. running 3-4 i hardly notice a difference in my power bill. With the temp -20F for a couple days and not above zero for a week or more they never completely freeze over. I have seen ice build around the edges but that’s it.

Re: Zirmectin Gold / Ivermectin

Your dogs could have had worms before and after using zirmection gold has less of a problem but your not even close to taking care of the issue. One of the biggest problems with people trying to make up there own worming schedule or flea and tick schedule is they f*ck it all up by either over dosing...

Re: Sick Beagle...

passing a stone or some other self-curing issue could mess with the urine flow and the tapes are more so the cause of the rapid weight loss over such a short period of time.

Re: Mr. Bill and John's Buck V11

Both are average dogs for the time put in them when getting run up I would consider them both above average. The owner of Rab and i don’t run our dogs like we use to or want to, wrapped up in family and work. All we do is gun so I may be less picky then some but i still hold expectations to mine and...

Re: something wrong with testicles..werid question

How old is he? ive seen this in some of the younger hounds..its normal..i think. One thing to keep in mind is, if you ever want to bread him and he’s always doing this, you will want to find a way to keep his testicles down in the sack otherwise the sperm temp will get to warm and kill all the littl...

Re: Kokadjo, Maine

The roads that you will be on most of the time will be good gravel roads but tires with a low ply # will get punctured. I maintain a fleet of vehicles that are on gravel roads daily and we run 10 ply tires and up. when i head into the back country for more than a few hours, i take no less than two s...

Re: Salivary Gland

I had the same thing happen to a young male i had. This is different than an abscess like wire man is talking about. i had a vet look at my dog a few different times with in a 12-14 month time frame. the bump was soft and loose like a balloon full of water. you could squeeze it and cause the dog no ...
