How many run their hounds in the summer? Are you afraid of the snakes for yourself and the hounds. I used to run in the summer but I lost some hounds to snake bites. I've got an almost five year old male who has Reggie as grand sire on bottom and Thunder Blue as grand sire on top. In my opinion a pretty fair hound.

A year ago, my female had 12. She raised them all. I was concerned about her being able to nurse them all, so I bought bottles and formula. Didn't need them. I do the same as you. They are socialized with one another b-4 going to the wild. I don't use starting pens either. Her litter mate did as expected when I took her out the week b-4. Just never had one to spook from another dog opening.

Had something a little strange happen today. Been starting young dogs a long time now, but this is a first. Took a six month old and a three year old out. Pups were 5 weeks old yesterday and have been eating puppy chow for a couple of weeks. There are a couple of smaller ones but there are no runts. They are all fat little boogers.

3 weeks old today. Started feeding them cottage cheese and puppy chow just to give mom a little help.
