Re: YOTIES WE NEED TO START KILLING AND WHY
That $25 avg was for the coyotes lol. Yup,cats go for quite a bit more.
There are 11 cats in the picture and not sure why the side was cut off.I sold the 12th cat to a taxidermist for $175.
Hope to avg $150 on these guys.

Re: YOTIES WE NEED TO START KILLING AND WHY
This is 41 of the coyotes I trapped this year and 2 red fox. This is what wasn't mangy out of the 52 coyotes I caught. Had I known the mange wasn't as bad as in the past and that coon trapping was going to be a bust,I would have tried for 100 coyotes this year. Also managed 12 bobcats but haven't ta...

He'll remember that for the rest of his life! Having his dad with him will make that memory that much better.

IMO the 410 is an experts gun.I see so many folks put them in the hands of youngsters only to end up with kids not taking many rabbits with it. As far as range.I've lazered ranges that people have stepped off when patterning their shotguns.I'm here to tell you that 99% of thosed paced off 40 yards e...

Re: Briar Proof
I went with the Mules and they seem bullet proof. I can't even wear insulated underwear with them until the temps drop into the teens. They are a bit heavy, but it's worth it for the quality.

As a kid,we ate rabbits any time we killed them and never had any ill effects.Tapeworms in rabbits is caused by ingesting fleas when they groom themselves.Rabbits habitually eat their feces in the winter to derive all the nutrients they can from them. I'm 61 years old and have only heard first hand ...

Same here, after all part of the fun is listening to the dogs work.fasttrackpa wrote:I stick at the jump spot, after the first circle I may move to try and get in a better position. I like to try and get elevated, unless the cover keeps me low. I never shoot the first time I see he rabbit.

I agree with the above. Allowing it to continue in the state it's in now could jeopardize the dogs life.

MDC acknowledges that we do indeed have a population of bears in Mo. and has documented that they are breeding. Now mountain lions are here but no proof that they have bred in the wild. Matteroffact, all documentation on them has pointed to young males migrating from elsewhere. The Red Wolf is confin...

I use a saline solution also.Lift the eyelid and flush and flush.I then put a little eye ointment in their eyes and this helps sooth them. The area around the eyes get pretty raw after a couple of days,so I try and let them heal up a couple of days before running them again.

Re: Pennsylvania handgun while dog training?
That's a good question that I was wondering about in MO also. I decided to get my conceal & carry licence, for one reason so that if I WAS carrying a handgun while running dogs in the off season, (coyotes) , It might help my reasoning with a Cons. officer. -(to show that I wasn't just out hunting o...

Re: FESCUE
Fescue is very popular for lawns and pasture, but is a bain to small game.It gets so thick and will crowd out more desirable vegatation for rabbits and quail. It thatches too thick for the small animals to be able to move around in it too.Worst thing that ever happened to small game around here.

Re: hurt tail
I think dogs that aren't ran as often have more trouble with this than those that are. I have one female ,that if not ran at least once a week, has problems with this.It really isn't that hard to do and like the poster above said, she holds still pretty well to have it done.No way I'm going to pay som...
