I have had more then my fair share of "downs" as I have gotten back into beagles. I am now getting to the point where I can enjoy running my dogs. Don't give up, I'm glad I didn't. There is a lot of good people out there don't let a few bad ones ruin it for you.

Last night I went to feed my dogs, which includes four 16 week old pups. I fed them first, all were eating and seemed fine, then fed the other adult dogs. Remove them before the 6th day, runts may be later as someone else said. After day 6 you could end up with nerves causing discomfort to the puppy.

I had to amputate a foot on a coyote hound, never phased her, she would run and hunt with the other hounds. Get it removed and im about 80% sure he will still hunt for you, may be a touch slower but if hes that important to you, I would get it done sooner then later. Good luck!
