Thanks for the replies. I have only had rabbit dogs a couple of months and i have a dog that hunts pretty good and jumps some rabbits,but he is 4 years old and i didin't know if he was better because he is older or just born better.I get on this site every day, lots of great beaglers on here learned...

I have a dog that i really like he handles really well, can run a track great picks up a ton of ckecks, but doesn't hunt very hard just wondering does a dog hunt harder as it gets older or at 1 1/2 year do you think he hunts as hard as he'll ever hunt,or is it time to cut him loose?

I have heard 4 dogs was the best number to run in a pack to gunhunt, just wondering peoples thoughts on the best number, how many is to many or can you run to many.
