Mojave Desert Santana
:( Sadly, I must downsize and re-home many of my pack. My "super stud", "Mojave Desert Santana (aka Tanna) is a beautiful small male - about 12" and 20#, who typically sires smaller beagles. I can furnish a 5 generation pedigree for Tanna, and pictures of him and some of his offspring. Tanna's pare...

Re: Momma dog with diarrhea
With the first litter I had here, the "mama" dog had the runs. The person who was here with me at the time said she needed to eat the afterbirth. My vet says it's not necessary, and I've kept the other moms I've had away from the afterbirth, and have had no more problems. I'm not an expert by any m...

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j296/beaglesmom/graphics/toughjob.jpg I believe this this young lady qualifies as "cute" - this is my youngest on her 3 month "barkday". She (and her siblings) have awesome pedigrees - Sire is "Mojave Desert Santana" whose parents are both IFC - Dam is a special gi...

Re: My $1200 stray
Hope your Fred is doing well - it's great that he found such a wonderful home with you. I suspect that before I adopted my "Little Lottie" that someone had kicked her and broken her jaw - I bought her from a breeder - who had purchased her from another breeder who was moving and selling a lot of her...

Meet the pack
I let the brats out this afternoon - and the dog next door was tied in their front yard. There was also a mama cat and her 3 kittens - and when I let the kids out, they were having a FIT!

Beautiful beagles, but then ALL beagles are beautiful! Robyn, nice to see you here, too! This is where you'll probably get better info about hunting, and field trials, since none of our Beagle Bay members are really into that (except for Tonya's husband, of course). All TEN of mine are "pets" - tho ...

Here's more of the pack: These are "Tanna's kids" - Tamna is Mojave Desert Santana - both of his parents are IFC - with many other champions in his 5 generation research pedigree. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j296/beaglesmom/TannasKids2-11-30.jpg -Joe is on the left, Jack in center and Bella on...

I'm a fairly "new" breeder and don't do them myself, but take them to my vet who only charges a few $$ per pup - plus an office visit. This is done when they're 3-4 days old - waiting too long makes it a much more serious "operation". My vet DID tape them with adhesive tape (which was a real PAIN to...

I'm having ke...

Am definitely NOT an expert - but my JoJo had 5 pups her first litter - 3 females, 2 males - the smallest female died at 4 days - of the remaining 4, there was one LARGE male and one SMALLER male, one LARGE female and one SMALLER female. I have both the males from that litter - one is still small - ...
