Robert, i do it the same way Slaux does but i don`t use silver nitrate. If you use one small drop of super glue it will stop the bleeding. Also sterilize the razor before cutting the tail. Larry Parrott

Big Dog, if you go to the vet and get its tail cut do not run the dog for four weeks. I tried to run mine after two weeks with the tail bandaged.
