Re: Charging Garmin collars while camping?
Thanks for all the ideas! I took a look at the price of a 1000 watt Honda generator and was sure surprised! I'm looking at all options including solar charged battery. We are planning on camping in Maine for two weeks also!

Charging Garmin collars while camping?
Has anybody had much experience charging collars and AA batteries while out in a remote area for days. I have a converter that turns 12v to 120v to run a bank of outlets but you would have to run a vehicle for quite some time!I can't charge from the cigarette outlet without running the vehicle. I ha...

Re: What is the farthest distance you've seen Hare go out?
The reason I brought up the subject is because in the last month I've been running Pennsylvania hare and they have been running big. They have been going out to 1 to 1.5 miles and yesterday after a couple closer circles they took one out to 2.5 miles! They were averaging almost 7mph in 10" of snow!S...

Free primitive camping in Maine?
I hear most of the private land in Maine is open to hunting, fishing, and camping. I was wondering if anybody knows about camping on paper company property, etc? Are there camping permits required or fire permits? I've been looking online for any information on this but things are very vague. We hav...
