Re: Who all hunts with a Judge
Unless something breaks down, I've agreed on a trade for a TC Pro Hunter. Got the mzl and .308 all stainless for less than a new mzl. I'll just buy the pistol parts once I get it and convert it over.

Re: Who all hunts with a Judge
I'm trying to trade a guy out of a Pro Hunter he has for sale. . I can buy the pistol stuff if I can get it. Probably sell the .308 barrel and keep the mzl.
If not, oh well, back to the drawing board.

Re: Who all hunts with a Judge
My first thought was a Pro Hunter in the .410 pistol. Dadgum, around here them things are $1000. :( Problem around here is, nobody carries them and they jack the price up to swap out everything on an already put together rifle. Ridiculous really. I'm just in a gun buying mood and weighing options of...

Who all hunts with a Judge
Thinking of buying one. Just getting as much info/advice on them as I can.
Most of my shots are 20 yards or closer. Most are closer.
I'll get the longer barrell Judge if I get one.

2 yr old AKC female in Alabama
Above average hunt Runs plenty of rabbit Sire is out of long line of old ARHA PP champions Dam is a lot of Blackcreek I think. Reason for selling: She does tend to skirt the pack at times. Can't trial her in UBGF or Deep South so she needs to go to a rabbit hunter. Close to 13" Tri Handles great to ...

Re: Running pens (cost of)
I was figuring somewhere around 8-10k without doing any research. Sounds about right. I'm actually thinking I won't have the pen at my house, except a starting pen would be. Unless we found "the" house with the land with it. That would be ideal but may not be realistic. More realistic is not at the ...

Running pens (cost of)
Ok, I'm fixing to move I'm afraid. :bash: Got to do what I got to do I guess. Anyway, when I move, I plan on buying land and building a running pen. I need rough estimates on cost per acre. I'm looking at a small pen to simply keep the dogs in shape around the house but seems to me 10-12 acres will ...

The Garmin DC 40's still giving problems?
Really thinking of investing in some collars but I hear a lot of bad things about these. Can't find much on recent developments though so I figured I would ask here.

Re: Tennessee Beaglers
We've never had a problem with yotes in Wayne CO but it could happen. There are enough coyote hound hunters around here that I believe hounds means get the heck out of dodge to most coyotes.

Re: Tennessee Beaglers
The TWRA was very receptive to changing that law. After I spoke with some higher ups with LEO and with some of their biologists, many couldn't understand why it was like it was. Last year they told me if they could get it on the agenda it would pass easily. They were right. I also emailed all the me...

Re: Tennessee beaglers
Well, we've all been breaking the law for years but luckily no GW has been sorry enough to write us up. I think it was one of those deals where leadership in Nashville told them to use it more of an "add on" if other laws like "hunting without permission" was being charged. Kinda like fishing in a p...

Re: Alabama Hunting
THere are several roads that are always locked. Especially in the sections that are hardwoods. Truck Trail 22 should have been open. Just past the cemetary (coming from HWY 247) on the right. Real long road. Just about any road that can be rabbit hunted should have been open. Like I said, many stay ...
