He thinks he's the boss. You need to let him know he's not. I've had good luck just pinning him to the floor when he gets aggressive, until he backs down. Also, take away some of his priveleges. I would guess that everyone has lost a dog while hunting. Even if only temoparily. One dog (that hunts) will work fine. More dogs make better music. As to, "what is the perfect number of beagles to run??" Just one more.lol

I have 2 beagles that have exactly the traits I want in my gundogs. They come from the same father, with dfferent mothers. Should I be concerned about breeding these two dogs together? They are AKC reg. but I have no intention of raising dogs to sell. I am just after good gun dogs for my own use.
