Re: Patch crosses for 2010

Wow S.R. thats some kinda fall, our thoughts here in Ohio go out to you. Been a long time since I got on the board and thats not the kinda stuff you want to read about when you get back on the beagle site here. We are down to two beagles now Dozer and Gunner, but dad still has all his Patches. With ...

Re: patch hounds

Can't really add anything somebody else hasn't already said but can't refuse to add my 2 cents on a Patch topic. I wasn't really a fan of the Patches my dad brought home about 10 years ago, preferred a more traditional dog I told him.( come on he was my dad there was no way I could agree with someth...

Re: patch puppies

I don't really think that they are hard to start. Ours usually start anywhere from 6-9 months in the wild. Never used a starting pen or anything.

Re: patch hounds

Patch, Smoke is out of 2 hounds from Montana who were both purchased from Superior Patch kennel. Darrell said he needed a little different blood. His dam is Hellroaring Pearly Girl out of Superior Patch Daego (I think he's from Capozzi) crossed with Superiorpatch Sierra. His sire is Hellroaring Ratt...

Re: patch hounds

Sam, We went out and ran with Darrell a few weeks ago. His Smoke dog is a nice hound, we will probably breed one of our females to him down the road. We also saw 2 dogs out of Smokey and Shildt's Amberpatch run (Willy and a female I can't remember her name) they were very impressive for 15 months. D...

Re: Dog Speed

Hey Brian, After seeing some dogs run that your pup is out of, I would say that he'll finish out being pretty quick. At 6 months he's far from finished and will more than likely speed up over time and especially after being ran with other dogs. In my opinion a Tank bred dog would not be the way to g...

Mourning a big loss at Sandy Valley

A few days ago we found Daisy Patch dead in her box at the age of only 7. There was some minor sickness leading up to this but nothing to think she would pass on to briar patches above  . Those of you who were on the waiting list for pups from her & Dozer should contact us if interested about...

Hey Bill, I didn't even notice that Sugar looks like a 3 legged dog in the picture LOL. She must have her leg picked up to itch or something but it does look pretty strange, she normally has 4 legs :D

Yea, Harner's the dogs had their work cut out for them yesterday. Today it's even colder here but not nearly as windy.
