Re: Brucellosis test and hound breeding??
I've often wondered the same thing. It is my opinion that it is not a problem today because of the testing before breeding. Ivr never heard of dogs dying within days of exposure. I always heard a symptom of brucelosis was females aborting pups in their 3rd trimester.

Re: My dog is dying and I can't figure out why...
I had a female once that became lethargic. She showed signs of depression and became a finicky eater. Vet said it was bacterial and perscribed some antibiotics. She never got better. Later on she developed sores. I had blood work done because a friend said it sounded like blasto. He was right. I had...

Re: What bloodline or type of dog?
The bitch line is gonna be half the cross. Foot and line control can be altered in very few breedings so its hard to know what your tank bred female is like. However, I think its complete hounds that have success in multiple formats. Kane has had as much success trialing in multiple formats as any d...

Re: Hound speed
Beginning to like the solo hunting.... Can't blame it on over competitiveness. Running was excellent with fresh snow last night. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww4/mybeagles/9ED028FA-1D69-4597-BABD-F3839228CD25.jpg Dave, Which hound is that?? Have you gotten that Kane pup started yet?? Casey hi...

Sorry for your loss matt! Never got to see him go, but seen to many freaks out of him to not realize his positive impact on the breed. May the lock-on live on!!

Re: Thoughts on Hi-Standard Premium performance 26/18
I think its good feed. My dogs perform well on it. I give 25 a bag, but I don't think the guy that sells it does it to make money....he mainly sells it so he can have it local to feed his own dogs.

Re: Thanks:Matt G Neil K, Ron C ,Chad for FC superfly trick
Congrats miles on finishing trick. I knew as I was trialing kane that I didn't have the means to follow it up with trick and I knew he was capable of making fc. I was glad you got him because I knew you could make sure he got to the trials. A lot of hunt and heart in that little dog there.

Re: AKC or ARHA first for meat dogs?
I'm not an old timer but its my understanding that there were good akc meat dogs that ran akc. Always heard you could buy an spo cull that would hunt hard and put meat on the table just wouldn't trial. At some point they slowed everything down and focused more on line control and tight check areas. ...

Re: AKC or ARHA first for meat dogs?
I dont believe questions like these benefit anybody. They way you have it worded is designed to pit two different groups of ppl against each other. That being said, Dogs don't know if they are akc or arha. They just do what they are bred to do. Rabbit dogs can win in either registry. Find breeders t...

Thanks Jeremy for all your hard work to make the hunt smooth. My hats off to the judges, the rain sure made it miserable at times
