Thanks Randy,
I'm a bit new to beagles still as I switched from coon dogs a year ago. I came down to look at houses a couple weeks ago, sure does look like nice running land there. Thanks again for your generosity.

club in Linton IN ????
I've heard there is an ARHA NKC club in Linton IN. I was wondering if someone from that area would contact me if they'd like to run around and do a little hunting? I will be moving to Jasonville IN at the end of March. Thanks. E-mail me at dannykeller1@juno.com

Steve, My weekends, Fridays included are pretty booked until the end of Feb. And after that it looks like I'll be pretty busy. I am most likely moving to Indiana before to long it looks like. We do need to get together and hunt again sometime, we need to even up the score a little with the rabbits f...

hmmmmm Steve, sounds like you got some sorry sorry dogs! lol, ONLY KIDDING EVERYONE, I was hunting with Steve today, I agree whole heartly with his posts. I believe this cold weather would bring most 100% producing dogs down a bit', I could be wrong. But what I don't get is, if the dogs make a loose...

laal, I guess that would be the difference in our opinions (and I do understand they are just opinions, i don't get offended) If a dog is working a cold track, you don't want to hear it as you don't consider that running a rabbit. I do want to hear it as I do consider that running a rabbit. As has b...

That's good advice, thanks. I never thought of giving him asprin. Any particular kind? Do you just put it in his food? I'd sure like to keep hunting him as he won't run deer, comes when I call him and puts good pressure on a rabbit. Only fault the old boy has is that he likes to open on grouse??????...

Yeah Steve, I'd love to go hunting sometime. I remember talking on here to you about a year ago. I think you lived around Mora? Lots of hare up here, lots of deer to though. But anyway yes we should get together. I'd like to hunt with someone, no one around here runs hounds of any type. And I'd like...

tough scenting conditions ???
Being a little new to the beagle world I got yet another question for everyone. Does anyone here have a real tough time running on crusty, almost ice like snow? We got a good snow about Thanksgiving. It started to melt out some then suddenly we got real cold weather and it's been real crusty ever si...

O.K. just to clear up, I am aware that a rabbit is not a coon and that different style's of running dogs suit each game differently, but thanks to those who pointed this out. I was just saying WHAT I LIKE IS, to hear a dog work, and to hear them work a cold track to get it hot. That impresses me. I ...

This has been very interesting to someone a little new to beagles. I personally want a dog to open when they are working a track, be it before or after the rabbit is jumped. I have run coondogs all my life before switching to beagles recently. I always loved going out to hunt coon for the sound of t...

good idea Tom.
That sounds like it could turn into alot of fun Tom. Get ahold of me. I'd be glad to do some scouting up here for hunting spots and lodging. Talk to you later.
