there is an application for a fox training permit. available thru the DNR..it enables one to run hounds on fox during the quite period (sometimes my dogs run a rabbit , darn it!)..many folks use this permit to train dogs..contact..Wildlife Division..Michigan Department Of Natural Resources...PO.Box ...

back to top, for some friends, who inquired, at the ARHA state hunt in Michigan

i know , diet effects the flavor of wild game..just wondered if diet could effect scent? not a hare vs. rabbit scent. but scent of cottontails, in different geographical areas, with different diets...also hare in different areas with different diets? anyone have any thoughts, or opinions? just thoug...

it is my understanding, that the question was, how much scent difference,(opinions) is there between hare and cottontail..also..could diet effect scent??..from personal experience, if i spend an evening , drinking scotch, eating garlic chips, the next morning, you may not prefer to sit next to me on...

sure beats running these cottontails, in so. east MI. they should be in shape for the state hunt!!! trips like that are priceless.
