Re: Need some suggestions please...
I had a hound that was losing weight a few years ago. I was feeding a maintenance feed which was 22% protein and 10%fat. All of the rest of my dogs ( I generally feed around 20 head)on the same feed were slick and fat and maintianed their weight. A trip to the vet found nothing wrong with the dog. I...

Retriever Dog Food
My local feed store where I have been buying dogfood for many years is going out of business and I am forced to find another supplier. Today I purchased Retriever Hi-Protein Brand Dog Food (27% protein & 17% fat) at the local Tractor Suppply Store. Is anyone out there using this feed? Is it any good...

Re: pride dog food?
I've been using pride for years. I have fed mostly the white bag until this spring. I had a black and tan hound that couldn't hold his weight with the white. I switched to the brown bag and he picked his weight up. Stool is more loose with the white than with the brown. The white bag is 22% protein ...

My supplier also told me that it would go up about $2.00/bag with his next delivery. We'll find out next week I guess!

Re: seven dust
The active ingredient in Sevin is Carbyl. Carbyl at one time was the active ingredient in those inexpensive flea powders you could buy at local department stores, grocery stores, etc. They also use carbyl in poultry dusts to kill parasites on chickens. I at one time had a can of poultry dust (5% car...

Re: Getting rid of Mites???
My vet used Revolution, the stuff for fleas and ticks. Just put it on like you would for fleas (between the shoulders) so that the dog can't lick it. Frontline or some of the other brands might work

Re: Pride 24/20
Here in South Carolina I bought 2 bags of the Pride Kennel Pak today. The owner of the store told me that his supplier told him that his next load of feed would cost more. So look for the price of Pride to go up. How much my supplier didn't know!

Re: warning.
Back in October I had a shotgun in my truck and someone tried to break out the passenger side window in my truck under my carport one night. I was the lucky one in the neighborhood as both my next door nieghbors were hit the same night. One of them's truck was unlocked and some tools were stolen whi...

I use Pride 22/16 (Brown Bag). My dogs seem to do well on it! The price just went up to $16.25/50 lb. bag.

Larry G: The product I use is called EQUI-PHAR PROTAL. It says that it is an EQUINE ANTHELMINTIC SUSPENSION. The active ingredient is "50mg of pyrantel base as pyrantal pamote per ml". My Vet sells me a pint bottle for $45.00. My wife uses the same product for her house cats but the dosage is 1 cc/ ...
