The best food I ever fed was down right expensive, but the dogs crapped less and the stools were solid. They looked awesome one it, but just to expensive. Probably the best food you can feed to a pup from 8wks old to 6 months. Purina Pro Plan Performance Blend. I agree 110%... but 40 bucks for a 35...

I just can't see keeping a dog until it is a year or two old to decide whether it is a "keeper" or not. I know all the tired cliches' about some of them being slow starters and some of them really turn on at a later age and some of them need solo time, etc. and that is probably true. Not at my hous...

i catch rabbits pretty regularly just using a plain metal trap and apples

its alway exciting having a new litter.

that sucks that its like that in your area. but here in eastern ky we've been having great running. our population is up from last year. or maybe my dogs just got better haha

it aint about quanity, its about quality and it sure looks like it sure wasnt lacking of quality time. those are some good lookin bluetick hounds there as well.

i sure hope you get your pup back.

i wouldnt worry about it. at just a 1.5 old id say he will grow out of it. sounds like you have a real pup there though

me personally if it's not showing any intrest at all and its a 1 1/2 old, im getting rid of them. someone might be able to get something out of it but it sounds like he doesn't have much time to hunt and needs something thats gonna start easy. someone told me a few days ago the key to getting better...

The scent was "scared off" him! Its a defense mechanism. Next time a rabbit comes by, stomp your foot or yell. The rabbit will flinch big time. When the dog hits that spot....its scentless! I do it just to cause breakdowns. ;) LPB agree 100% this is what i was alwasys taught and it sure seems right

depends on the dog. i've seen pups 7 months old thats had the crap ran out them handle a track so good it would amaze ya . but i also had a female once than was showing real promise at 6 months old, she'd run with the other dogs and track around real good and by one year she wasnt the least bit inte...
