We no longer use 7-in-1 shots because of vaccine reactions, we use 5-in-1 shots instead. If you're going to use a 7-in-1 vaccine, give them Benadryl (25mg tablet = 1/2 tablet for puppy/1 tablet for adult Beagle) 30mins to a hour before vaccinating. It will generally prevent vaccine reactions.

No, this is not an abscess, it is a hernia. It is filled with skin tissue and possibly intestines. You should not try to burst it. You can either leave it alone (if it is not bothering the dog), or have a vet correct it surgically.

I think it depends upon what the stud's puppies sell for. A reasonable stud fee is generally the amount the female's owner will get for one puppy.
