Thanks Ringtail, Got some the other day, haven't used it yet. On their belly, I thought it went on thier back, but I guess it dosn't matter, but dosen't it get licked off? Also does it work by being absorbed into the skin then into the blood and then the fleas are killed by ingesting the blood?

Bayer tree & shrub

There was some talk awhile ago on this board (I think this one) about using Bayer tree & shrub for flea treatment. Have the ones that have been using it for a while now getting good results, any problems, and what dosage are you using. I am going to use it if the results your getting are favorable.

I lost a coller once, found it a few weeks later, that was luck. I also hook the two collers togather for that reason. I use an industrial type saftey pin that I found in those drawers that have the small odd repair parts in at hardware stores, cost 20 cents each and work great.

I agree with jumpdog. Probally just publicity stunt to boost ratings. Wasn't he in jail for something before all this TV show stuff anyway, you should know to belive about a tenth of what you see on TV, it's all about money, the more WOW the more money.

Randy, Go the Pennsylvania Game Commission website, the have the regs and costs posted there. I live in venango county, and there are quite a few bear here and the surrounding counties. I think that you can get the harvest data per county off thier site also, I know they publish it in Pa. Game News ...

When I lost mine I emailed Tritronics and the cost was $154.00 for a Multi Sport 3 dog G2 model. I was luck, I found mine laying in the weeds a few weeks later, so I would wait and see if it turns up, Good Luck

What is a chigger, I don't think we have them in Pa. Do they just bite you or do they get under the skin or what. Some posts talk about getting rid of the itch, some talk about killing them.

The ones I have are foled over and rivited togather, then the collar put thru them. I think they work great.

We use crude oil to kill them, just dump it down the hole, the fumes (natural gas) stay for a long time, killes them quick.

I have some some that I got from a grocery store, Its what they use on the check out counters. Don't know if it will work for what you want or not, I cut it and use it for door covers, put it in the bottom of the box I haul in the back of my truck.

I know a guy that used to take a rag and dampen it with crude oil and wipe his dogs coats down with it. He claimed it was the best flea repellant there was.

This discussion has me wondering now. My 4 yr old male always has a bloody tail. It hasn't healed from last hunting season, but I keep running him and just put bag balm on afterwords. But back to what I was posting about, I was talking with another beagler the other day that was telling me about a b...
