with a smoothbore barrel, it must be at least 18 inches. if you get a .45/410 (i think that's right) rifled barrel it is considered a pistol, you are allowed a much shorter barrel length. keep 'em runnin'!

well, we finally got some snow around here. i was really excited to go out in the snow for the first time this year even tho it's a couple of inches but, i woke up to find a layer of ice over top of the snow...i'm going to wait for the ice to melt then, go bunny huntin'!

Droopy[my hound] is around 16.5in... both the sire and dam were alot smaller. 13.5 and 14. [approx]
My dog isn't the best around but we have a hell of a time.

where I hunt is is really thick(you can only see 5-10 yards around you) and the only way I get a shot is when the rabbit crosses the logging road, plus I only hunt by myself & with only one dog. i have a savage model 220 in 16 gauge.(single shot) fixed full choke...was thinking about getting a smith to open it up to a mod.

I am saving up for a Remington 597 in .22 long rifle. It's only the basic model (can't afford wood) it has the matte finish, 20" barrel, 10 shot clip, 14" LOP, and open sights.
