Bluetick Stud Nearby Southern Ohio

Any particular bell better than others? got the sleigh bell type, round with a steel ball inside. would the small copper or brass cow bell type be better? Do they hang up in the brush piles?

I'm wondering if you are hunting with another person and between the two of you, you holler, talk to the dogs, and just make a lot of noise if that would help keep them away. I understand they won't come near people. Anyway I hope thats the case because otherwise they are going to hear from my 1911 ...

Duke, I hunt mainly Indiana. My mother-in-law has a farm there. I too carry a side arm in order to use on those critters! It's really takinf the fun out of the hunting anymore though.

I have had coyotes twice jump my beagles while hunting. Fortunately when they heard me yell they ran off. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm concerned what coyotes might try to do when my dogs are out in front of me a good distance bringing a rabbit around.
