Who pays attention to the weather
I would like to hear everyones take on rabbit hunting according to the weather. Do you notice significant changes in rabbit movement due to moon phase, barametric (sp?) pressure, temp., moisture, wind, ect... If so, when do you have the best runs?

Re: West TN????
The woods were pretty dry where we hunted but all of the ditches and slews are filled up so it makes getting around a little tricky in knee boots
We did the best in small cain thickets and very thick stuff right along the rivers bank. Good luck and let us know how you did.

Re: West TN????
I hunted just north of the Hatchie last Sat. and the bottoms were so-so. The ditches were pretty deep but where I was the woods were ok to hunt. By this coming weekend, you should be fine, just make sure to bring hip boots.

Re: solo or not to solo??
I'm fairly new to beagles too, but from what I have heard and experienced, a dog needs to be ran by itself some so that it will learn to hunt better/jump rabbits and to learn how to run the track/push ahead on the line without relying on others in the pack to pick up the slack in their areas of weak...

Re: Anyone ever have Problems with a Dogs Joints hurting
The glucosamine/chondrin tabs do work. I have used them with my dogs with good success. There is a product called ZOOM that I have heard is good http://www.zoomdog.info/index.htm . Also, a higher protein feed will reduce some injury and help them recooperate faster after a hard days hunt. I feed a 3...

I havent been able to get ahold of them on the phone. They are decent rabbit dogs and I just wondered what kind of pedigree they had.
