Re: TRITRONIC DOG SYSTEMS
I have had a G3 trashbreaker for about a year now & I am totally pleased. I have three collars & haven't had any issues with any of them. I suggest buying the trashbreaker for the added range (you never know when you'll need it) So if you don't have enough cash for it now, save until you do . You'll...

Re: Scabby bumps on head
Well guys thanks for all your input. I finally got this under control & it's almost all cleared up. This is what I did: 1st- Removed all scabs & cleaned the sores with witch hazel. This exposed an ulcer like sore. 2nd- Started giving her 1- Pet tab & 1- fish oil tab daily. 3rd- Treated each sore wit...

Re: Best place to buy Tritronic's?
After alot of research and comparison James Golden at Golden Acres Supply 616-813-0814 on here offered the best deal I could find. I have delt with him and talked with him several times and he is a good and trustworthy guy. I would check him out, I think you'll be glad you did. I second that. He's ...

Re: Vaccinations
If you just had some of them done in the last few months I would just wait till next year. The vaccines protect your dogs for more than 12 months anyways. If it was me, I'd do the one that needs it & just wait to do the others all together next year. I think you're just wasting your $$$. Just my 2 c...

Re: Dog Bleeding Out
And some folks question why we use home remedies to treat what we can....I've not stopped laughing since your prozack post and Maple Valley hasn't helped that situation. Dock his tail and find another vet. I Couldn't agree with you more. Band the tail & be done with it. Forget the dope. Your Vet ob...

Re: Scabby bumps on head
I am 99% sure it is not mange. Are there fire ants where you live? That would be my first guess. Just before the problem started, did you run the dog after a rain or early in the morning when the dew was heavy? Dew poisoning would be my second guess. If so, there should be similar scabs on the ches...

Re: Scabby bumps on head
I dont think it's a food allergy. She isn't scratching much & I am pretty strict with her diet. Anything is possible though. I am giving her some fish oil, a vitamin & started treating with NU - Stock (treating for mange) If I cant clear it up we'll be headed for the Vets. Anyone have experiance wit...

Scabby bumps on head
I have a three year old bitch that has about 30 small bumps on the top of her head, down the bridge of her nose & on her muzzle. I've been scrubbing them with witch hazel. When you wipe the witch hazel on the bump a scab comes off taking the hair with it leaving a bald spot. These bumps are smaller ...

Re: ivermectin paste?
I have been using the 1.87% horse wormer paste on my dogs to prevent heartworm for years. I squeeze it out on my finger & wipe it on their tongue once a month. Never had a dog test positive for heart worms. One tube will treat 4 hounds for about 2 years & sometimes you'll wind up throwing it out bec...

Re: Running Seizure?
Joeyman,
What causes it? Does it get better as time goes by? What treats it or prevents it?
Any info is appreciated. Everything I've read about fits/seizures is either neurological (Epileptic) or hyperglycemic (sugar)
Thanks

Re: Running Seizure?
Patch man, I dont believe it was a fit either. When we picked him up he showed no sign of seizure. No stiff muscles, eye's were'nt dialated, gums were normal color. He just seemed glad to see his owner. Seemed a little scared that's all. We ran him last Saurday with two other dogs. Even more mental ...

Re: which stud or bloodline would you linebreed the tightest
My 2 cents & nothing more: A father / daughter cross is considered in-breeding not line breeding. A grandsire/ granddaughter or uncle/ niece or two dogs with common ancestors within the last 5 generations is line-breeding. One intensifies traits good & bad (in-breeding) The other should produce a mo...
