I course them with Irish Wolfhounds. No gun needed. These dogs literally pull them apart on a dead run.

I've been using a feild grade Browning BPS with a 26" barrel for a few years now and have nothing but good things to say about it. You should be able to buy one new in the $380 range. That said, I've used an 870 Express and it's a fine gun also.
