It seems that joining a beagle club would be cheaper than building a start/running pen but, there are draw backs with beagle clubs and the many members they contain. You'll never have to drive that 20 or 30 miles to the beagle club after a long day at work just to have someone running in your favori...

David, it can get expensive really quick if someone is doing it for you. I paid $3,700.00 to get the fence rows cleared on a five acre pen then about $1,400.00 for the coated fence wire out of Maine then you have to get the T posts and lumber that's another $2,000.00/$2,500.00 throw in another coupl...

Hey JAW, do you already have a dog picked out to breed to next year? No, not yet. I was going to give you a call when I found out that you have a direct son out of Ace in the Hole, but I haven't had time. I was suppose to be going to Ohio the 23rd of this month to see Laron Williams' hound Horseshoe...

[quote="crewchf"] What would happen if I DNA'd my 2 males and there was no match????? Does the AKC do this to catch crooks in our sport??? I kinda think every hound should be DNA certified, that would stop problems before they start!!! I often wonder about these two questions myself. I also think ev...

Mr.Terry I've heard that some bawl mouth hounds constantly move the line slower because they have to lift their heads to proclaim the rabbits every foot step and all the while the trail is getting colder which in some cases it turns into a total lost. Does the bawl mouth hound that has to lift his/h...

Chop,Bugle,Bawl,Squeal or Squall
What kind of mouth do you prefer on your best hound and why? Some say they like the chop mouth because it's constant and up beat. Others say they like a big bawl or a bugle mouth because they can here them farther and it's more houndy. Not to many beaglers like the squeal or squall because it's anno...
