I’m looking for information on the Patch bloodline. Not really looking for info on one specific dog. Just interested in the history of the bloodline, the popular dogs out of it, what traits do they normally have, etc. Any and all info is appreciated. Feel free to pm me or respond to the topic. We have a 15 month old male with one eye like that. I've always heard it called moon eye. Therefore, we named him Moonpie.

Simply put... they either have it or they don't.

Had a nice hunt today. Dogs ran several rabbits & we were able to kill three. The temp was mild but it was overcast for most of the morning. Allowed us to hunt longer.

I agree with Jude. Nose is very important. If a beagle can't smell a rabbit. It doesn't really matter what kind of foot it has. A beagle should run a rabbit track as fast as their nose let's them.
