The last week of training season I was running two of my females with a 6 mo old pup and they caught a rabbit and ate it every time out. Screaming fast races with hardly a check for an hour or better. Fun to watch and listen to but we don't have enough rabbits already and now I'm going to have tapes...

I am a firm believer in soloing dogs, especially pups and young dogs. They have to learn to do it all on there own. You can see just what kind of dog you have and evaluate their progress. I enjoy wachting one dog run a rabbit, most of all young dogs, it builds confidence and independence.

Wolfrom's Little Jodie Girl finished to LPRCH today. It took her six hunts and she placed in all of them.

Nice pictures. I could'nt shoot that many rabbits in the places I have to run. I would'nt have any to run my dogs on.

Congratulations to all who placed. Thanks to all of the judges and everyone who helped put the hunt on. It was a good time despite the heat. The fawn and the skunk at the same time were a neat little diversion. At least the dogs did'nt run the deer.

I would be interested in trying a dog out in this format. Just started trialing a few years ago and always thought I would like to run this format but all of the hunts were out of state. Have been seeing baby's for a few weeks now and have found a few empty nests. The one's I've seen were a couple weeks old so they seem to be doing alright.
