Cherry eye or drooping eye lids and splayed front legs in my experience don't seem to be common in the beagle world but it seems like the times I've seen it a patch hound was involved. . The guestion here is not whether you dock or do not dock tails. If it needs to be done by all means do it.The guestion is.Is it arrogant to think that every one who likes one of your litters should buy a docked tale pup. Because you think it's better.

If I looked at a litter of pups and they all had docked tales, I would wonder if they might be hiding a genetic problem of kinked or bad curl tale. Leave it up to the buyer if he wants to dock a tale.
