Re: Late Fred Wills Bloodline
I have a male that came from Jeremy whose grandsire on his bottom side is Wills Buck II. Top side is Branko's One Tuff Mountie who was off One Tuff Ombre. He's 9.5 years old. Same cross as the Rocket dog that Mike Conti had. Sorry, don't have any pups though.

Re: Maine 2016
Yeah, all the "Maine-ah's" refer to them as partridge, not grouse, regardless of whether they are talking about ruffed or spruce.

Maine 2016
I posted this over on the Hunted hare board but thought a few folks that don't visit that board might enjoy checking out the video we made of our Maine trip last week. I'm not real active on here anymore but like to share this every year. We had a great year and ended with some tired hounds. https:/...

I agree, I like the system. Has its annoyances though.

Re: Alpha Dog Track ?
Yeah, unfortunately that's not what I'm looking for. Sometimes I just wanna glance at the full track for a second. Too many screen taps on this thing to do stuff you could do so quickly on the astro.

Alpha Dog Track ?
Simple question that I can't find the answer too, maybe Garmin removed this feature. On my Astro 320, by pressing the map button i could toggle between showing 0 of the dog tracks, the last ten minutes of the dog tracks, or all of the dog tracks since the start. I could do this quickly. On the alpha...

Maine Hare Hunt 2015
Well, I haven't been able to get out in the PA woods yet with the dogs but for good reason, we just got back from a week in the Maine woods. This year was a blast again, and we lucked out on the weather to boot as opposed to the 80 degree days we got last year. As a bonus, my dad got to go along wit...

I see your point. I'll eventually make the switch, just something to get used to I guess.

Re: Garmin, Whats your take?
That's my point though, I have what I consider to be broke dogs as well. The need to shock is few and very far between. Say my pack of 6 straight lines a rabbit and they are getting fairly close to danger (country road, tracks, a house etc) and I want them all to stop. Probably the only way I'm gonn...

Re: Garmin, Whats your take?
1. If you have a hound that needs correcting you have to scroll through the screens to get correct hound then adjust sensitivity before correction. Now this sounds small but sometimes you want instant correction and the time has passed before correction can be made. This is the one and only reason ...

Re: The Wait is Over
Found this review from another post...just a copy n paste There is a definite trade off with going to the smaller collar in both departments. The battery life of the new Mini collars is an estimated 16-30hrs depending on the selected update rate. That’s a little less than the standard collars that ...

Re: GPS Training Collars
I've tracked them to a mile and a quarter before....so give or take 2000 yards in PA. In Maine, my 40's start going out around the 1k mark, sometimes sooner depending on the spot. So if we are dealing with collars dropping at the 500 yard mark, I'd be NOT connected to my collars more than I would be...
