Re: Best Chaps
I have had filson single tin for five yrs. I like them quite a bit. I was not aware of the lifetime guarantee. It's not mentioned on their site. Is it something you've done with success?

Need help finding beagle movie
Probably about a year back someone posted a short documentary about three guys and their hounds. One of the guys talked about his house rabbits and one had over like 30 beagles and showed how behaved they were when he called them to eat. Does this ring a bell to anyone. I've searched this forum and ...

Re: Side by side shotgun
Stoeger is too heavy for all day thick brush running.IMO. I have the .410 and 20 gauge. Really don't like the double trigger. Never got used to it. Heard the coach gun style is nice. Have Charles daly over under that is super lite. That's what I use.

Re: Beagle Mags.
I have to be honest, I havn't found one that I really like. Don't get me wrong, I like looking at the hounds and reading a small portion of the articles but they are just normally hunt recaps. I like listening to hunting tales as much as anyone but I'm looking for a little more than reading about a ...

Re: Lets see those Patch Dogs!
Like the looks of all these dogs. Hey reddog, Brody is running and handling like a champ! The family loves him and he is an absolute dream in the house. I think about three years ago when I didn't know anything about beagles except that I wanted one. I came across your website and the rest is histor...

Three missed w/ long bow.
Took my home made long bow out on Monday. Three inches of fresh snow. Running was great. It was my first time out with the bow and I missed three times. Easy shots too. About ten yards each with the rabbit standing still. I'm kinda hooked on this long bow thing for rabbits. Any of you guys hunt this...

dog ate a gut pile, deworm?
Dog ate the guts out of a rabbit today. Do you guys deworm after this? I've been told I should because of the parasites carried by rabbits. Thanks.

I have my tracking collars from Johnson Telemetry built opposite of standard. This way I can slide my shocker on and off as I please. I originally bought a used collar this way and have had all my collars built this way since. I will post a pic soon.

Re: My son's first buck w/ pics
The buck came out to our right about 65 yards and started walking right towards us along the wood line. He stopped at a perfect time and began to make a scrap. He had no idea we were there. My only regret is that he didn't have to sit out longer to get this deer! I'm just kidding of course. I just d...

My son's first buck w/ pics
Opening day of Michigan's firearm deer season didn't last long for my son and I. Although, it didn't start out great. I kept him out of school and we had a great morning together. Got up around 430, made a nice breakfast and we were on our way. Arrived at the hunting spot around 5:55. Which was perf...

briar proof gloves
Who makes a good pair of insulated briar proof gloves? Can't seem to find anything I really like. Would be great if they were made in the USA. I just got my filson hunting jacket with the blaze orange ten mile cloth. Absolutly love it. This is a coat that you will pass down. I have to say I've never...

insulated crate covers
Who can steer me on the right direction on one. I looked at the ones made by cabelas it was kind of cheap. The zippers were wimpy and the overall construction seemed like it wouldn't last for more than one or two seasons. I don't mind spending a little more if its constructed well. Any suggestions w...

Re: tin cloth blaze orange hunting jacket
The hunting jacket has buttons and the field jacket has a zipper. I know both will be high quality. But what about the function in the field. What's your guy's opinions? About $100 dollar difference between the two.

tin cloth blaze orange hunting jacket
I'm about to order the filson tin cloth hunting jacket with blaze orange. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this product and can tell me the pros and cons. It's a little pricey ( the cheapest I found it was $220) but from what I've heard it will be the last jacket I buy. I know someone who...
