His theory was the pups would run the game they were suppose to run (the scent was in their blood) and that they would hark to dogs quicker. Maybe there's something to it, maybe not.

I was told years ago that running a pregnant female will "imprint" the pups. I don't know if it's true or not but I can tell you the guy who told me always raised pups that started easy.

Don't know if you found what you are looking for yet but Paul Patty has a Superior Patch bred dog. Paul has a few pups out of him right now. I have (I think) the first pup out of him and she's making a dandy. All hustle, barks good, hunts hard and tuff as a pine knot. He's a nice looking dog as well...

Thanks for the input. I'll give Hancock a try. I planted some Milo last summer and it didn't do very well. I got it in late and then we had a dry spell that really hurt it. I'm looking for a source to order Sericea Lespedeza seed from. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also was wondering if anyone has planted Bicolor Lespedeza? It looks like it would make good cover.

Speed!!! Speed!!! Speed!!! I want to have fast and furious running when I go hunting. I also want to hear a good race so a good mouth is very important to me. Plus I want a good well built hound.
I think it's harder to find a good fast dog than a good hard hunting dog.
