I have the 1802, two dog unit. It works great and was a reasonable price. I bought it through the collar clinic. They sell all brands and recommended it over the others including the tri-tronics. I believe their web site is http://www.collarclinic.com.

I have found it is best not to let them together all day, put them together once in the morning and once an the evening for about an hour. He will get his drive back by being separated. Good luck.

Never been far enough south to run swampers, but ran plenty of hare, several days in a row. Deep snow conditions, icy conditions, bitter cold, hounds ran all day every day torn up bloody feet and all. IMO don't get much more heart and stamina than that.
