Cottontails up here run for about 5 mins and are down a hole ..Jacks never hole up and take the hounds over fields and it takes a good hound to circle one their circles usually average 1.5 miles some can really get out there.

Man i am from Canada..and i would pay for one place that would hold rabbits like that ...a really good day is seeing 3 or 4 and actually only trying to kill one or two so we have some to run another time . Lucky guys ..

The most that i have heard a beagle stud sell for was $2600 and a litter of pups ...this was a proven stud hound ...but ended up shooting blanks not too long after .

i have a question for you guys that run big groups ..I have always seen that when running in a big group you have 2 or 3 good hounds and a bunch of hounds that there view will never change in there life time ... a bunch of me too hounds ..don't you run in to this also ?

I have to agree with honey pot ...If you think a stud will bring you money then you must have a great dog ....I have heard coon hounds making big bucks at stud service ...Frank Giddings famous walker breeder and hunter ...once said that his stud made more then him in a year ...but that hound ended u...
