In Michigan you need a "participation" tag to be in the truck involved in a bear chase. Doesn't matter if you have a dog down or a tag or a gun in the vehicle. And you need a small game license to train.

And as far as you have to have a great female. If you have a great stud dog and consistently have nice males you would have your pick of pups out of the nicest bitches. I have seen a lot of guys do this and they have nice hounds regularly.

Oliver seems to be making a dent. Have seen quite a few nice young dogs off him. Seems to be a lot of young dogs placing too.

I used Mike Johnson from the U.P. Blackpoint kennels a few years ago when I was working a ton of hours and the dog came back hard as a rock and he had logged the hours he had him running and notes as to what he saw when he was watching.Great guy to deal with and honest as they come.
