I don't think there is as much of a difference in the dogs as there is in the game they pursue IMHO. A cottontail has more erratic movement with many twist and turns. Had the pleasure of meeting Matt and breeding to Runner last year. I have two 10 month old pups out of Runner that are going to make RABBIT hounds.

My vet said second day after blood turns clear. He said not all females cycle the same but, when you see the blood turn clear wait two days and you will hit her just about every time. It works for me.
