Just to throw a different spin on things, why not include some old ARHA crosses Bruners Big Ben X Bruners Cassie, Swartz BigTime X Gibson's Mozark BeBe, Banjo X JRK CoCo, just trying to give the old guys some publicity. Oh I seen a few dogs run out of these crosses, and they were rabbit DAWGS.

We have a product at the clinic where I work now called Comfortis, it is a pill that is given orally to dogs. From listening to a few folks, they say that it seems to work really well.

Thanks for all the comments guts, he was truly a great houndsmam. He never did get rid of all his beagles when he got bassets, truthfully he was just looking for a challenge with the bassets, is what he told me. Said to make a hound out of a basset was a real challenge. Sure going to miss the man.

Some often wonder and debate if hounds are better today than back when, well I would say that there may be overall more competitive type dogs today, but I wouldn't say they were better rabbit dogs. I have seen certain hounds and bloodlines of today run and there is some nice hound...
