Yup. I'm feeling the same way. Seems like some of my dogs tails will get beat up so bad that they will not hunt as hard after a few hours because it's hurting them. Then it's just looks like a painful mess.
How do you go about docking there tails?

Got a buddy looking to get into fox hunting. He wants a couple big males to run foxes. 15"+ 3 years and under. He likes them fast with NO quit and tons of Heart! Every rabbit I've ever ran stiff was a full grown rabbits but it was always in the warmer months. Spring/summer. Never ran a rabbit stiff in the winter but I usually don't run rabbits very long during hunting season. 2-3 circles and there shot

I've done this twice in the last 2 years. Both times was in the spring with mild temps and atleast a hour+ running. Yea did all the updates. Just got off the phone with garmin. They are sending me a new unit free of charge. Great customer service.

Nothing but problems all hunting season.
Loses communications with the collars half the time. Touch screen on the handheld is always messing up.

I'm loving this weather. We're laying the smack down on rabbits. Dogs running great! Seems like the farms are loaded with rabbit. Killed 41 rabbits in 3 days the week of thanksgiving.

Updated my handheld and the collars 5.30. (Didn't realize there was another update. Just did one 2 weeks ago)
Hopefully that fixed it.

Do you need to update the collars seperate, or just update the alpha itself? Do you guys with the Mini's have an issue with the collars twisting around the dogs neck? I can't seem to keep mine properly positioned. And worry about making them too tight. Never had the issue with the large collars. Ye...

Ever since I did the update. My handheld will turn off on it's own for no reason. It will come back on but what the hell is that all about. Has happend twice this week when running
