I've been using cut up rubber horse mats and they seem to be working well

I've been using Garmin for a few years now and I guess my hounds are slower than i thought. I rarely se avg's over 3. This is an all day average, which is a lot of searching some days through some deep snow. I've heard of others with averages in the 5-6 mph and I wonder if these are just when runnin...
