Is that the silver colored lug at the bottom of the barrel assembly on each side? Also does anyone know if Thompson has quit making the Contender frame and barrels. I have called all over Virginia and cannot find another one anywhere. One dealer said they had quit making them.

Went to pickup the contender today and ran into a problem. The gun was actually a contender with a 22 match 12" barrel. When we put the 12" 45/410 barrel on it the hammer would not cock. I have found a new TC Contender in 45/410 with a 14 in barrel plus a encore with a 12" barrel. Does anyone know what the chamber length is? I forgot to ask the dealer.
