Mark, I like your style of dog. Mine run much the same. Mine are out of Don Arnold's Willow Run breeding. I like them to just keep bumping the rabbit along. Always keeping the pressure on, but not so much that the rabbit holes up.

Treated myself to a new Garmin Alpha 100/TT 15 mini for Christmas. Bought my unit from Chuck Prather at Plum Creek Kennel Supply. Thanks Chuck! Everything has worked flawlessly. Pretty much got the basics down so far. What an awesome tool! Lot of peace of mind knowing where the dogs are at all times...

I've got some old laying hens I need to get rid of before winter. Can I butcher and cut them into pieces for my hounds? Is there any concern about bones?

I fed the dark green bag 26/18 for a while. The dogs drank a lot of water (salt?) Also could see ground corn in their stools. I guess the corn was not ground fine enough for good digestibility.

Kible at around $25-$28 for a 50lb bag...............It's all about the same
