I knew and hunted with a Foxhound,who no tongue, Fact is I kept here for awhile. She hunted and gave tongue ok. She had learn to eat and pop her lower jaw to drink.But always looked nasty because could not clean herself.

We can find out about dog.Right now it is very very dry.It would not fair to your dog to try him now.Besides its a long drive and not be sure about scenting conditions.It will rain as it always does in the fall. But its your call if you want to find out if your hound can handle the very dry running....

Nate Peters ,lives in the Northern part of the state.There was a club near Napa. There are not a lot of Rabbit hunters out here.

But the running was very good and the races long and hard so I felt it was worth getting caught, which I never did. I find that a Cottontail makea hound grind a little more than a Hare. Ithink young hounds learn more running Cottontail than they do runing Hare.
