Re: Dog food $
The funny thing is I heard from dog food companies that the reason Dog food went up is because corn was almost $7 a bushell. Now corn is back down below $4. I wonder if the dog food prices will come back down now...lol...I doubt it. Corn futures are down around $4, but the corn the feed supliers ar...

Re: Yellow Jackets
I got some benedryl down him as soon as I found him. That seemed to let him breath easier for a little while. He had quit breathing by the time we got to the vet, but the vet gave him a couple of shots quickly and got him back. We had him out in the yard walking around after that and he seemed like ...

Yellow Jackets
I had a dog killed by Yellow Jackets This past weekend. He was probably stung about hundred times. We got him to the vet, and had him back on his feet, but later on got worse again. Took him back to the vet but he wound up dieing. I have had dogs get into a nest of them before and get stung, but not...

Re: Gun dogs vs. Trial dogs
We trial the same dogs that we gun hunt. And they are gun hunted hard. Dylight til dark most of the time during rabbit season. And get a ton of rabbits shot in front of them. They also win trials, plenty of them. I have a buddy that it took me 3 years to convince to take his dogs to a trial. These d...

Re: Breeding question
Say for example, I take a line bred Branko hound and cross on my patch, now I see on the pedigree there are no common hounds within the 7 generation pedigree on either, so I say this is mostly an outcross but the two I've selected hunt and run really well together and their virtues complement each ...

Breeding question
What do you all think about inbreeding? I am talking half brother and sister breeding. I have bred father to daughter before, but never siblings. I like to see dogs linebred to keep strong traits, but I also know that the bad traits show brighter to. My theory has always been breed close and cull he...

Chief,
I run alot of UKC. Your club is at the same place the Eliminator is held correct? If so I know what you are talking about. I love the running out there.

AKC Clubs in Missouri
I am wanting to find AKC clubs in or close to Missouri. Clubs that run Large Pack or MIdwest Style dogs. I don't know much about AKC, but would like to go to a couple of hunts to visit and see if my style of dog would fit in. I like to run fast hard hitting dogs with alot of hunt.

Re: Got treated like DIRT by Tri Tronics !!! Please read !!!

She finally changed her mind and decided my stuff was still under warranty . 1 mile range  yeah right you're lucky to get 600 feet out of thier garbage ....

Re: Brent's Primetime
I had a male and female out of Primetime and NG's Fargo. The male died shorlty after I got him, so I never really got to see everything he had, but he was 16". The female is probably one of the top 2 or 3 dogs that I have been with. As long as she is in shape, lol (she gets fat easy)! She has alot of...
