There's little difference with a 1oz load of shot be it 12ga.,20ga., or 28ga. You can load up or down, if the load is the same and the velocity is the same, there is no difference at all. I don't know why you would want a scanner. I have AVID chips in my dogs, if there is a question of ownership on any of my hounds, I show my certificates to the local law. Indiana hunting season
Wow Jon, sounds like you're headed for a lot of fun this year. Two of us went out to Jasper/Pulaski, hunted 7:30 - 11:30. We ran 5 and killed 1. Lordy did it warm up, and the cover is THICK! Good running to everyone.
