Why do you think you don't see many hunting hare with beagles in the Rocky Mts and Western States- Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, etc....?

I just had a litter of ten. Two were born really weak... we took them and warmed them and bottle fed them for an hour or so. All then survived and are doing great. They've been off momma' for about a week now and eating Diamond Puppy food up. Momma was happy to quit feeding!

Nice to hear from you Gary. Here on the foot of the mountains we just got rain.... but up on the mountains it was SNOW ! It'll be gone in a couple days and I'll try it again. I hope all is going well for you.

Well I made time today to get on the mountain..... and of course we get a weird June snow storm up there. I think all the game was holed up because of the storm. I did find one area with lots of hare tracks... but they seemed 6 - 12 hrs. old I figured. Dogs hunted hard but didn't jump any.... I'll r...

hare habitat...
I'm ready to hit the mountains.. Big Horn mountains in Wyoming. Wondering where to look for hare... what specific habitat do they live in? Where should I be casting the hounds?
