Re: What Shotgun "and shells" do you use?
Thompson Center G2 Contender .410 with 12" barrel 3' shells whatever i can find I'll admit I occasionally have to pass up a rabbit that circles over 30 yds. out, but if they're closer than that and not on the dead run they're usually dead. I hunt in the thick stuff mostly, so being able to carry a p...

Re: What is your favorite beagling memory?
I've only had beagles for a couple years, so my favorite memory is more recent. My first beagle Zeus was about 7 months old and I was running him with his sire, who was about 11 at the time. A rabbit went off in a big circle thru open woods, and they seemed to lose it after a while. About 10 minutes...

Re: SHOW US YOUR BLUETICKS

This is my first beagle, Zeus. He was given to me as a pup and i had so much fun with him, I had to get a couple more.

I don't have his pedigree to post, but he is a son of O's Blue Belly and a grandson to Blueback.

Re: Cherry eye
If you cut out the cherry on your own, do it when the pup is still small. I waited till my dog was big enough where he just plain wriggled around too much even with someone else to hold him. I had a vet cut it out eventually.... Cutting it out is way cheaper than the procedure of tacking it back in ...

Re: Whats the latest on Garmin Astro's?
Question on the Garmins? Does the handheld unit double well for using without the collars, like for deer huntin and for road trips?

Re: Do your dogs know what a dead rabbit is?
My dog recovered a rabbit earlier this year that hopped on out of sight after the shot. I was sure I'd missed the rabbit but found out later I caught him with a couple bbs. So now he thinks he has to find exactly where the rabbit is in case I didn't do my job. He's started to bring the rabbit...

Wow, it's a good thing your kennels are in earshot from the house. That would've been terrible.
